HQ Trivia, the hottest live game app, just hit a record on Christmas Day with 730,000 concurrent players. The jackpot on that day reached $12,000, split between two winners.
What is HQ Trivia?
HQ Trivia is a live trivia game app that allows players to win cash prizes. There are two trivia competitions per day, 9 PM Eastern Time every day, and 3 PM on weekdays. In addition, prizes range from $1,000 to $12,000 now.
The rules are quite simple. Its primary host is comedian Scott Rogowsky, who asks 12 multiple choice questions. These trivia questions start from easy to savage, and each has 3 possible answers. Participants have around 10 seconds to answer each question. If you get one question wrong, you will be eliminated and relegated to watching the game.
Everyone who correctly answers all 12 questions can split the jackpot. Winners can cash out the money via PayPal. If no one wins this time, the prize pool will carry over to the next game.
HQ Trivia has been an iOS exclusive app since it launched. Luckily, it is finally coming to Android on January 1. For now, Android users can pre-register for HQ Trivia on the Google Play Store, which means you’ll get a notification when the app becomes available. Besides, the app is only available for those who live in US and Canada.
