Hacktoberfest is back, which is a month-long festival of code hosted in partnership between GitHub and DigitalOcean. Every participant is able to receive the Hacktoberfest stickers, and those who complete four pull requests can earn a limited edition T-shirt.
How to participate?
Everyone is welcome to join the event, and you can sign up anytime between October 1st and October 31st. However, you must make four pull requests before the deadline to win a free shirt. Any contribution to the existing repositories or projects on GitHub can be considered as a pull request. For example, you can fix a bug, add a feature, update project documentation, and more. There is a guide about Contributing to Open Source on GitHub, which will teach beginners how to make a great contribution.
When you successfully submit four pull requests, DigitalOcean will collect your shipping details and mail the T-shirt after October.
