As you may know, the new Xbox One S removes the Kinect port to make the console smaller. In this case, Xbox One owners upgrading to the new console need an adapter to use their current Kinect Sensor with the Xbox One S.
Fortunately, Microsoft is offering a free Kinect Adaptor valued at $39.99 for Xbox One S users. It is a limited time offer, and not all Xbox One S owners can request the Kinect Adapter for free. According to the Xbox support page, only customers who own an original Xbox One console, an Xbox One Kinect Sensor, and an Xbox One S console can claim the free adapter.
The offer is not for those who are new to Xbox One S, but customers can purchase the adapter directly from the Microsoft Store.
