One of the benefits of being an Amazon Prime member is that you can enjoy unlimited online photo storage at no additional cost. At present, all Prime subscribers are able to invite up to five family members or friends to use Prime Photos to share as many photos as they like.
The new feature is called Family Vault, focusing on sharing and managing photos on multiple devices and accounts easier. Additionally, invited users can share another 5 GB of storage for videos and documents.
Family Vault also provides invited members the option to print uploaded photos with a low price and free shipping. The service is available via Amazon Prints, and you can choose your own custom products except photo prints, such as photo books, invitations, holiday cards and more.
Eligibility for Family Vault
Although the Family Vault is only available for the U.S. Prime members, Prime accounts outside North America can also access the feature on Amazon.com. Besides, to invite family members, you need to a Prime subscriber as one of the following:
- Paid Amazon Prime members, including Amazon Prime, Amazon Student and Amazon Fresh;
- Prime 30-day trial members;
- Adult members of an Amazon Household with shared Prime benefits.
Amazon’s Prime Photos is one of the very few services to offer unlimited photo storage for non- commercial usage. Compared to other similar services like Google Photos, unlimited usage is always a big advantage in the market. In addition, Prime Photos is not only keeping your personal photos private and safe, but also it is easy to use and access.
